Rotolo al Forno








1 loaf frozen bread dough

1/4 pound salami

1/4 pound mortadella

1/4 pound ham`

1/3 pound swiss cheese

1/3 pound provolone cheese

1 egg yolk, beaten





Thaw the bread and let it rise, covered in a warm spot for 1 hour. Punch down.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. On a floured surface, roll dough out into a rectangle 12 x 16. Tear all meats into bite size pieces and sprinkle over the bread. Tear the cheese into pieces and layer over the meat. Starting at the long end, rollup tightly, jelly roll style. Pinch ends together tightly and brush with beaten egg yolk. Place on cookie sheet and let rest for 20 minutes. Bake for 30 minutes or until nicely browned. Let rest again before slicing. Slice thinly and arrange on a serving platter.
